IVS Successfully Concludes Its Participation at OCP China Summit 2024

In today's open computing system landscape, emerging sectors like cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and blockchain continue to flourish, underpinned by the development and empowerment of data centers. As the fundamental carrier of computing power output, servers face unprecedented challenges regarding the performance and energy efficiency of their core processors—xPUs (CPUs, GPUs, DPUs, etc.)—driven by diverse computing demands and massive, multi-modal data.

On August 8th, OCP and OCTC gathered industry technology pioneers to host the highly anticipated Open Compute Project China Summit (OCP China). IVS was invited to participate in this grand event and took the stage at the forum. On-site, IVS delivered a presentation on its new power supply solutions for data center server motherboards, unveiling key technological aspects of VRM power efficiency within server motherboards. This aims to help address issues like heat dissipation and energy efficiency ratios, propelling new data centers towards greener and more efficient development.

At this conference, IVS was honored with the "Open Compute Best Innovation Award." As a leading domestic enterprise in low-voltage, high-current power management chips, IVS addresses the growing tension between increasing computing power and unit power consumption in data center server systems. The company has successively launched a complete system-level VRM solution portfolio ranging from single-phase 6A to multi-phase over 1000A, covering five major product categories: Switching Regulator, Multi-phase Controller, Power Stage, Power Module, and E-fuse. While providing stable current supply, these solutions offer higher power density, higher conversion efficiency, and lower overall board power consumption. Their outstanding performance and innovative design received unanimous recognition from the organizing committee.

On the Show Floor - Booth Highlights

The IVS booth welcomed numerous industry professionals. The company's specialized technical team engaged with visitors, providing detailed product introductions and in-depth technical exchanges. This allowed attendees to gain a more intuitive understanding of how high-performance, complete power supply solutions efficiently empower applications like data center servers.

Multi-phase VRM Power Solution:

  • Dual-loop 4-phase to 16-phase Buck PWM Controller
  • Supports protocols like PMBus, AVSBus, SVI2, SVI3, SVID
  • Smart Power Stage integrating high-side/low-side MOSFETs and drivers
  • Package-compatible with mainstream 30A/70A/90A/100A DrMOS in the industry

The IS6203A showcased is a dual-output, 12-phase PWM controller with multiple digital interface protocols. It supports PMBus, AVSBus, and SVID protocols, with per-phase switching frequency up to 200kHz-3MHz. It utilizes IVS's patented TCOT™ control algorithm to achieve the fast transient dynamic response and refined power allocation and control strategies required by xPUs. It can be paired with self-developed 30A/70A/90A/100A DrMOS, which, through process optimization, offer superior conversion efficiency and dynamic load adaptability, achieving a balance between power density and physical size.

IS610XA: 6A-50A Multi-Protection E-Fuse

This product series can meet the power protection and management needs of high-power electronic devices and systems in today's digital and data-driven era.

The IS610XA series offers DC monitored current coverage from 6A to 50A. It provides high-precision current monitoring (IMON) and employs low RDS_ON integrated power MOSFETs. Featuring advanced on-chip current sampling technology, it supports Hot Plug and auto-recovery applications, combining fast response with precise protection—capable of detecting and cutting off output within nanoseconds. Some models feature a digital PMBus interface (IS6105A) or support parallel operation (IS6108A), offering greater flexibility and practicality. Furthermore, the IS610XA incorporates various functions to protect systems from inrush current, overcurrent, overvoltage, reverse current, reverse polarity, and short-circuit faults, effectively enhancing system stability and service life.

We look forward to collaborating with industry peers, experts, scholars, and partners to explore further, integrate more strengths, embrace the challenges and opportunities of our time, jointly contribute to building the foundational infrastructure for data center computing power output, and create a smarter, more efficient future.
