Description

IS6806A is an integrated power stage solution optimized for low duty cycle synchronous buck applications. It enables VR designs to achieve up to 70A per phase current. The internal power MOSFETs minimize switching and conduction losses. IS6806A incorporates a driver IC with high-current drive capability for internal MOSFET gates, adaptive dead-time control, and an integrated bootstrap switch. It features a thermal monitor that alerts the system in case of excessive temperature. The driver is also compatible with various PWM controllers, supporting both 3.3V and 5V PWM signals. Diode emulation mode can be enabled under light load conditions using the GLCTRL signal. The device integrates a current monitor for real-time current monitoring (Imon), which scales down the output inductor current. Additionally, it includes fault alerts for conditions such as HS FET overcurrent, overtemperature, and HS MOSFET short-circuit failure.
