Description

The IS6205A is a dual-output, 8-phase step-down controller specifically designed for V-Core voltage regulation, compatible with PMBus/AVSBus/SVID protocols. It employs the proprietary TCOT™ control algorithm to achieve rapid transient response. Equipped with exclusive efficiency optimization technology, the IS6205A ensures outstanding efficiency across the entire load range. Its dynamic phase control feature allows for automatic or command-based phase addition or reduction according to load current. The IS6205A can be configured for single or dual-output operation and supports 127 address values via the PMBus interface. Device configuration can be easily defined using the Innovision GUI and stored in on-chip Multiple-Time Programmable (MTP) memory, reducing external components and minimizing package size. The IS6205A provides comprehensive fault protection including OVP, UVP, OCP, OTP, and CAT_FLT, along with temperature sensing via thermistor or maximum temperature reporting when using power stages.
